Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026. This policy explains what information our website and our WhatsApp bookings use, and why.
Who we are
This website, lankaairporttaxi.online, is run by Lanka Airport Transfers and Taxi ("we", "us"). We offer airport taxi transfers and other rides in Sri Lanka. You can contact us on WhatsApp at +94 74 021 4051.
What information we collect and why
- Places you type in the fare calculator (pickup and drop). We use them to suggest places and to work out the distance and the fare. You do not need to give your name to see a fare.
- Booking details you type in the booking form (name, WhatsApp number, date, time, passengers, bags, flight number and notes). This information stays in your browser. It is not sent to our website. It becomes part of the WhatsApp message that you choose to send to us.
- WhatsApp messages. If you message us, we receive your WhatsApp number, your WhatsApp name and your message. We use them to answer you, confirm your booking and arrange your ride. We also use your WhatsApp number to count your rides for our repeat-ride offer (10% off the 3rd ride and 15% off the 5th).
- Technical information. Like most websites, our web host records technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you open. We also use your IP address for a short time to limit how many fare checks one device can make, so that automatic use does not overload the service.
Other services we use
- Google. We use Google Maps Platform (Places and Routes) to suggest places and to calculate distances. The places you type are sent to Google from our website. We also load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We use the Meta Pixel to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who may be interested. The Pixel sends information from your browser to Meta, such as the pages you view, that you checked a fare (including the places you entered), and that you pressed a Book now or WhatsApp button (including the route, the vehicle and the fare shown). Meta may set cookies and receive your IP address and device information. Meta uses this data under its own privacy policy.
- Ad visits. If you arrive from one of our ads, we remember that for your visit and add a line such as "Source: Facebook or Instagram ad" to your WhatsApp message.
- WhatsApp. WhatsApp is owned by Meta. Your messages are handled under the WhatsApp terms and privacy policy.
- Hosting and caching. Our website is stored with a web hosting company and uses a caching service so that pages load faster.
Cookies and similar tools
We do not use cookies of our own to track you. The Meta Pixel may set cookies in your browser. We also use your browser temporary storage to remember, for your current visit only, that you came from an ad. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some tools may then work differently.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services listed above, with the driver who carries out your ride (so that the driver can pick you up), and when the law requires it.
How long we keep information
We keep WhatsApp messages and booking records for as long as we need them to provide our service, answer your questions and keep our business records. Server logs and fare-check limits are kept for a short time by our web host and our website.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by sending us a message on WhatsApp. Sri Lanka Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, gives you rights over your personal data, and we will handle your requests as the law requires.
To limit ad tracking, change your ad settings in Facebook or Instagram, or use your browser privacy settings.
Children
Our website is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
